Here's what you need to know.

Lead Writer, Travel

Get your swimsuit ready because Mayor John Tory announced Wednesday in a press conference that 10 of Toronto's outdoor pools will be reopening early, and you can take a dip starting Saturday, June 12.

While not required, reservations will be encouraged, and you can book 45-minute time slots online in advance beginning Thursday, June 10.

The 10 pools that are reopening this weekend are:

  • Alex Duff
  • Monarch Park Pool
  • Heron Park Community Centre
  • Grandravine Community Centre
  • McGregor Community Centre
  • Parkway Forest Community Centre
  • Pine Point
  • Riverdale Park
  • Sunnyside-Gus Ryder
  • West Mall

The pools, which offer free leisure and lane swimming, will be operating at 25% capacity, and you'll be required to sign in before taking a dip.

The rest of the city's outdoor swimming pools are set to reopen June 19 and operate until September 5.
