Playland in Vancouver comes back soon and here's what to expect this season

Get ready for a thrill.🎢

Contributor

Playland at the PNE is officially opening for the 2025 season on May 17, so get ready for some adrenaline-pumping rides, classic carnival snacks, and unforgettable summer fun.

The iconic Vancouver amusement park is bringing back favourites like the ThunderVolt, featuring a jaw-dropping 18-meter drop.

You can already grab your passes online now, and trust us — you'll want to plan ahead. With almost 30 rides to choose from, there’s something for everyone, whether you're a fan of the classics or prefer the wild twists and turns of newer thrill rides.

Beyond the rides, Playland also delivers on all the nostalgic summer treats. Expect mini-donuts, coaster dogs, cotton candy, and Triple O’s burgers to fuel your day of fun. You'll also find classic carnival games, plus events throughout the season.

Playland will be open weekends only (Saturdays and Sundays) from May 17 to June 16, and then Wednesday through Sunday from June 27 to August 15. Advance tickets start at $36.70 for adults, with season passes also available.

Get your crew together, grab your tickets, and start counting down — summer thrills are right around the corner.
