A foodie festival near Vancouver has just started, and it runs from November 7 to 17 with over 70 events throughout.

Set in the small village of Whistler, about an hour and a half drive from Vancouver, the Whistler Cornucopia is an annual festival with a bunch of different foodie events.

Every year the festival is held right before the start of the ski season, so you can go and explore the village before it gets too packed full of people.

As a popular tourist destination, Whistler is full of restaurants and bars to try and throughout the festival, there's an array of events, from curated tastings to seminars. Ticket prices vary by event but there are some popular ones that are worth the journey and price.

The Night Market is on November 15 and there will be some street markets set up with guest chefs and different restaurants offering up a bunch of different food options. Tickets for the Night Market are $79, but you get to wander around the food stations and drink sampling booths set up.

There are other events too, like the Gatsby Gold Night that adds a little glamour to the festival, and the West Coast House Part kick-off event.

There are also discounted accommodation packages with the festival, so if you've been wanting to plan a fall Whistler getaway, now might be the perfect time to do it.
