After a thief stole one woman's final memories of her late mother hidden inside a teddy bear, Ryan Reynolds is fighting to get it back.

In a Saturday, July 25 tweet from the Vancouver actor, Reynolds announced he'll give out $5,000 to anyone who could find and return the bear to its rightful owner.

To owner Mara Soriano, the bear meant a lot more than just a toy — according to her Reddit thread, it contained a recorded message of her late mother saying "I love you, I'm proud of you, I'll always be with you."

The thief stole it along with their "passports, SIN cards, my citizenship card, a Blank Chequebook, an iPad Pro and a Nintendo Switch."

Despite losing all of this, Soriano is only asking for her teddy bear back — and Reynolds is doing his best to make that happen.
