This Vancouver restaurant was named among the city's best that 'everyone should visit'

Vancouver foodies, listen up! 🍽️

Person at a restaurant. Right: Vancouver restaurant.

The best restaurants in Vancouver.

One of the best restaurants in Vancouver was just revealed, dubbed by locals as a spot everyone should visit at least once in the city. You're basically guaranteed a good meal here, topped with a cool vibe and a cozy atmosphere that'll keep you coming back. Perhaps best of all, it's a well-priced menu, so you don't have to reserve a visit for special occasions.

This restaurant is one-of-a-kind, praised by locals on a Narcity poll and has also accumulated a slew of accolades, including a spot on the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand list.

This is Lunch Lady, a spot that has gained the attention of foodies around the world and deserves every bit of praise.

Named after Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Thanh (the original Lunch Lady of Saigon and founder that started it all), this spot serves up Vietnamese Street Food like none other.

The menu highlights local ingredients with a modern, elevated spin, but maintains an approachability that keeps it simple — great food.

The only problem you'll face is narrowing down what to order, which is no easy task when you're deciding between dishes like wagyu beef noodle soup and a char-grilled pork tomahawk — while trying to also save room for a ube tiramisu.

There are lots of opportunities to eat well here, with brunch, lunch, and dinner service. Go at lunchtime, and you can get $3 off cocktails as a sweetener.

The food, story, and feel of this spot have made it famous, and now a Toronto location has also opened its doors too. Sadly, Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Thanh passed away in May of 2025, on her way to celebrate The Lunch Lady Toronto opening.

Her legacy continues to be shared through the restaurants. The menu, designed by Chef Benedict Lim, has been refined by the Lunch Lady herself.

If you're in Vancouver and want an unforgettable meal, head to Lunch Lady.
