Fancy a little trip to Europe? You don't need a flight or even a car to experience the charm of overseas destinations. This enchanting location feels like a European escape, and it's just a train ride away from Toronto.

On Narcity Canada's Facebook page, we asked readers to share places in Ontario that make them feel like they're in Europe. The post gained hundreds of comments, and this beautiful small city was one of the recommended spots.

Stratford is a dreamy destination nestled along the shores of the Avon River. While it is technically a city, it boasts quaint small-town charm and feels like a mini European village.

Named after Stratford on Avon in England, Stratford boasts a Victorian-era downtown brimming with shops, eateries, and attractions, making it an idyllic spot for a getaway.

It's just over 2 hours from Toronto by VIA Rail, so you don't need a car to enjoy this destination.

The Stratford station is located a short walk from downtown, making it easily accessible.

One of the city's main draws is the Stratford Festival, which takes place from April to October each year. This season, you can enjoy shows such as Anne of Green Gables and Sense and Sensibility.

In addition to its theatre scene, Stratford offers various attractions, including museums, stunning gardens, and food tours.

You can catch a show at The Little Prince Micro-Cinema & Lounge, which holds the title of the "World's Smallest Movie Theatre," or indulge in delicious truffles from Rheo Thompson Candies.

With storybook streets and European charm, this beautiful destination is a magical spot to explore.
