Meteorologists weren't kidding. Photos are flooding the internet of the Alberta snow this morning, on Tuesday, December 22, following a massive dump in the late evening and overnight.

From the prairies all the way to B.C., it looks like we can buckle up for a white Christmas. Whether you're cozied up inside or digging your car out from under the snow, you can appreciate a little holiday spirit.

Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings all over the province and the snow is expected to continue into the afternoon of Tuesday, December 22.

Crews around the City of Calgary are working to plow the roads as quickly as possible. Though, traffic might be a little slower than usual this morning.

What better reason to stay inside and curl up next to the fire? Be sure to drive safe if you need to hit the road and bring an emergency kit.

Thanks, Mother Nature! It's feeling pretty cheery around here.
