New Data Reveals Just How Much Amazon Sales Have Skyrocketed During COVID-19

Since people around the world have been cooped up at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon sales in 2020 saw a serious increase. 

A new report by Jungle Scout shows how much sales increased for Amazon sellers as well as how much the internet giant’s sales from third-party sellers went up.

51% Of Amazon sellers had increased sales because of COVID-19

In addition, 41% said that their business did way better than they expected because of the pandemic. 

Overall, 62% said that their sales increased in 2020. 

Meanwhile, Amazon itself earned some serious cash due to this sales increase. 

"Amazon's net sales from third-party sellers grew 57% year-over-year in 2020, heavily contributing to Amazon's $386 billion annual revenue," explains the press release. 

While 96% of the surveyed businesses plan to grow their Amazon business in 2021, 66% expressed concern about increased competition in their markets.
