There's no sweeter way to enjoy apple season than with a trip to this charming Ontario destination. The area is known as "apple country" and features endless bakeries, orchards, cafes and more.

You can even follow a picturesque trail that leads you to apple-themed spots throughout the region for a dreamy fall adventure.

South Georgian Bay has been dubbed "apple country" and it's a little autumn paradise. According to the website, the region is "perfect for apple growing" as its protected from severe weather by a valley.

The area even has an Apple Pie Trail that takes you to various orchards, galleries, breweries and culinary destinations so you can enjoy apple country to the fullest.

The year-round, self-guided trail is especially great to explore during the fall harvest season when the apples are fresh and the landscape transforms with vibrant colours.

The Apple Pie Trail winds through small towns including Blue Mountain Village, Meaford, Thornbury and Beaver Valley. Along the way, you can stop by different attractions to learn more about the history of apple country and to experience a taste of the region.

There are so many different places highlighted along the trail, such as Alpine Ridge Alpacas, Scandinave Spa and The Cheese Gallery.

Whether you spend the day filling up on treats at Thornbury Bakery Café or sipping boozy drinks at Spy Cider House and Distillery, there are lots of ways to indulge in the taste of the season.
