If you're craving some charm, you'll want to plan an escape to these two dreamy locations in Ontario.

Here are the Ontario spots that were named among the top 10 most charming towns in North America.

On May 30, 2024, online slots site Betway revealed a list of the most charming small towns in North America, which included destinations across Canada and the U.S.

The study looked at factors such as positive sentiment and the number or parks, museums and landmarks. The towns were then ranked from highest to lowest, based on their total scores.

Brockville and Owen Sound were the only Ontario spots to make the list and both scored within the top 10.

Brockville was ranked as the sixth most charming town in North America and the third most charming in Canada, with a score of 2.4. Located three hours from Toronto, this destination is home to the most landmarks out of all the towns on the list.

According to the study, you can "discover one of Canada's oldest railway tunnels dating back to the 1800s, spend an afternoon at the arts center which hosts plays and musicals or wander across Brock Trail," for a dreamy outing in Brockville.

Owen Sound was ranked as the ninth most charming town in North America and the fifth most charming in Canada, with a score of 2.2.

Situated on the shores of Georgian Bay, the destination is a 2 and a half hour drive from Toronto.

Highlights include Harrison Park, which is home to over 40 acres of scenery, as well as Inglis Falls, which can be found along the Bruce Trail.

The most charming North American town overall was Decatur, Georgia, while the most charming Canadian town was Whitehorse, Yukon.

You can find the complete list on the Betway website.
