Georgians could be considered lucky when it comes to the number of scenic adventures they have to explore in the state. From top to bottom, you're sure to find at least one trail that tickles your fancy and suits your needs. Indian Seats Hiking Trail outside of Atlanta will give you miles of views at its summit and take you past abandoned ruins.

Indian Seats Trail at Sawnee Mountain Preserve may look like your average mountain trail hike, but you'll pass abandoned gold mines and be lead to a huge natural rock formation that gives you sky-high views of Georgia's natural beauty.

Narcity contacted the Sawnee Mountain Preserve visitor center, who says that depending on how long you're wanting to hike for, there are two different trailheads to choose from.

You can start from the Sawnee Mountain Visitor Center and take the trail out and back on a 4-mile round trip hike for a longer, more intense outdoor adventure.

This specific Georgia trail is a popular one once fall comes around because the fall foliage you see from the summit is breathtaking.

It's a perfect spot for photoshoots when sweater weather season rolls in. Imagine standing at the top, backdropped by a sea of red, yellow, and orange. That's sure to step up your Instagram game.

During your hike up, you'll pass the abandoned gold mines that are now barred up. You can peep between the bars and see what used to be.

Signs throughout the park will help you learn about the area and its history. You can also find an adorable fairy trail tucked away here.
