This Eerily Beautiful Spot In Georgia Feels Like A Post-Apocalyptic Playground

Where old cars come to die — and be the creepy cool backdrop of your photos. 📸🚗

While taking a fall road trip to the mountains or the cute small towns in your state, making some pit stops at roadside attractions is a must. The Northern areas of The Peach State have many of these cool stops, but one will make you feel like you've stepped into a post-apocalyptic world. Old Car City in Georgia is the perfect place to get out, stretch your legs, and do a little exploring.

Old Car City is located in White, Georgia and will take you back in time. It's been dubbed the largest known classic car junkyard in the world according to the official website.

The eerily beautiful spot today feels like a post-apocalyptic playground as nature overgrows and seems to reclaim these vintage rides, but it was first a general store back in 1931, which you can still visit tucked away on the property.

Over 4,000 cars, trucks, vans, and busses sit on more than 34 acres of land. It's not said exactly how these ended up here, but you'll be glad they did when you see how creepy and cool it looks.

The website says that a few old cars that now call this place home worth mentioning include the last car Elvis Presley ever bought, as well as one of the cars Andy Griffth and Johnny Cash used in a movie.

It's just $20 to enter the outdoor-indoor museum, or $30 if you're planning to snap some photos while you're there, which you'll probably want to.

The "mayor" of Old Car City, Dean Lewis, welcomes everyone including photographers, models, and media companies to come and take advantage of his oddly picture-perfect lot.

Something about these old vehicles makes for some seriously great photos and will be sure to spice up your Instagram feed. Who doesn't love an old car anyways, especially if it happens to be Elvis'?

Feel free to weave between the trees on trails lined with these old-school cars and sneak a peek of the past as you peer inside of them.

This spot is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for you to explore like it's the end of the world as you know it.
