Visiting a water park during an Austin winter is no longer impossible.

The Kalahari Resort in Round Rock opened its doors today after over 900 days of construction, and yes, it lives up to the hype.

The massive vacation stay features cabana and bungalow rentals, a convention center, the world's largest indoor water park, and much much more.

The crowned jewel of the resort is of course the indoor water park, which features over 13 pools and 27 slides.

The wave pool is also unlike anything you've ever tried, as it features a ZeroVision screen that transforms the pool into a visually interactive experience.

If you're not too into the water, you can take a trip to another world with the resort's Virtual Reality gameplay experience, where you can ditch the real world, take on a new identity, and traverse a computer-generated landscape.

A full bowling alley is even available for you to test your skills at or just enjoy a drink and throw it in the gutter every time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required to be worn throughout the resort unless you are eating, drinking, or swimming.

Socially-distancing is also strongly encouraged.
