Police are investigating a bizarre crime after $230,000 of stolen meat was taken from a truck in Alberta. 

According to a police report, a transport truck was being subcontracted to hall a load of beef from the JBS meat plant near Brooks, Alberta to the U.S. on Sunday, August 30 when it failed to make the delivery. 

The full load of beef was valued at over $230,000 and is unaccounted for to date.

Later RCMP determined that the truck as operating out of Chateauguay, Quebec under a fraudulent document with the name “Transport Pascal Charland.”

The semi-truck is being described as burgundy in colour with a large bunk, pulling a white refrigerated enclosed trailer. 

Police are now looking for the suspect that is described as being a tall Caucasian male with a heavy build, short brown and slightly balding hair and wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt, yellow fluorescent vest, and a surgical mask.
