Community Shuttle Operator

Salary: $22.56 per hour during the 25-day training program and $26.54 per hour after training.

Who should apply: Community Shuttle Operators provide safe, courteous, and accessible public transit services in Calgary. If you’re 18 or older, have at least one year of customer service experience, and hold a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with three or fewer demerits, this role could be for you. You’ll also need to obtain Calgary Transit certifications, an Alberta Class 2 Operator’s Licence, and an air brake ‘Q’ endorsement.

Leader, Transit Support Centre

Salary: $91,367 – $137,955 per year

Who should apply: As a Project Engineer with Calgary Transit, you’ll manage capital construction projects and oversee the Building Condition Assessment program for facilities like bus storage and light rail stations. To qualify, you’ll need a degree in Civil Engineering, and at least 4 years of professional engineering experience. Knowledge of engineering standards and experience with mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil systems are strong assets. This role could offer flexible work options.

Salary: $94,168 – $144,228 per year

Who should apply: This leadership role is perfect for experienced professionals with a background in Business Administration, Emergency Management, Communications, or a related field. You’ll need at least 7 years of supervisory or management experience, and a commitment to community service and collaboration. The role involves overseeing Calgary Transit’s Bus and LRT operations, managing emergency situations, and guiding teams toward continuous improvement.
