This little mountain town has it all. ⛰️

Person by a river. Right: Person in a garden.

A small town in Alberta ranked among the best in the world.

There's a picture-perfect little town, not too far from Calgary, with breathtaking views around every corner, charming streets lined with quaint shops, and dreamy vibes all around.

The small town in Alberta is the epitome of a classic mountain town, with jagged peaks surrounding it and glimmering lakes scattered throughout the area.

All of that and more make this place a retreat like none other, and it was recently named among the "most tranquil destinations" in the entire world by Travelbag.

It was one of the two Canadian spots to make the list, but Banff came in ahead of the fellow ski town, Whistler.

While it's a well-known tourist hot spot — offering year-round views and adventure just an hour and a half away from the hub of Calgary — it's still worth a visit.

The small town is nestled within the legendary Banff National Park, where you'll find a wide network of hiking trails, lakes to plunge into or paddle around, and endless adventure.

Petyo Lake is a go-to in the park, offering a short trail with a big payoff. From the viewpoint, you can look down on the bright turquoise lake with massive mountains towering above it.

Lake Louise, another famed town, is also just 40 minutes from Banff. There you'll find another stunning lake view that you can take in for hours.

Because it's a go-to spot for visitors, there's a ton of tour options here to choose from, which can take you on adventure after adventure.

There's also something to be said for sticking around town, though, enjoying the paved bike trails and wandering around the shops and boutiques here.

If you want to take the tranquillity of the trip to the next level, you can head to the Bnaff Upper Hot springs, to soak in the hot mineral waters with an incredible view to top it off.

Banff gives you all the peaceful nature and awe-inspiring views you could want, while being pretty easy to get to and having its own amenities to balance it all out. The result? A trip with less stress and more calm.
