Calgary's Favourite Patio Pool Is Open & It's The Ultimate Place For Afternoon Cocktails

Pool season is here 😎
Contributor

If you've been longing to chill in the sun by a fabulous outdoor pool, your dreams have come true. Calgary's beloved outdoor pool at Hotel Arts officially welcomed the public back again on June 12, 2020. As of now, there's no stopping you from getting your tan on.

Hotel Arts Poolside has become a favourite outdoor pool among locals for many reasons. The biggest perk is that you don't have to stay at the hotel to gain entry to the pool.

All you have to do is pay a small fee, call ahead, and book your spots by the pool.

But in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, a few rules have been put in place to ensure safety for all of Calgary's pool fans.

In an email sent to Narcity, Hotel Arts spokesperson Fraser Abbott said that the pool will be restricted to a maximum of 20 people at a time.

The pool is open for swimming every day from 11 a.m. "until dusk," said Abbott.

Seeing how the sun doesn't set until very, very late in the peak of summer in Canada, it's safe to say you'll have more than enough time to bask in the sun.

Prior to entering the patio, guests will be met by a "COVID Hospitality Host" who will direct them to complete a declaration form.

The guests will also be asked to review the physical distancing requirements and other safety practices.

"They will then be escorted to their seating area for a licensed dining experience poolside," said Abbott.

Signing a declaration form to using a pool may not be what you're used to but it just makes the place way more exclusive and glamorous.

The pictures say it all. You'll feel like you're in Miami or Las Vegas once you're dipping in these glamourous waters.

Most of these swanky hotel patio pools are normally open to hotel guests only, but this sort of arrangement is one-of-a-kind in Western Canada.

So if you don't want to foot the bill of an ultra-lush room at Hotel Arts, you can just pay the $20 cover charge. This will be added to your or your group's total bill at the restaurant.

Right now, the group size cannot exceed six. If you do come with a larger crew, the hotel will try to accommodate you by putting you at separate tables, mentioned the statement.

Outside of that, you're off to the races. There's nothing quite like sipping Martinis under the Albertan sun while lounging at an amazing patio pool.
