Eligible families receiving the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) can expect see the money in their bank account from today, with the young child supplement payment also expected next week.*

To check if you've received the money, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) recommends signing into the My Account section of the CRA website or using the MyBenefits app.

While the CCB payment will arrive on Thursday, May 20, the first two installments of the young child supplement won't arrive until May 28, with the final two installments set to be distributed on July 30 and October 29, 2021.

Families already receiving the Canada Child Benefit are not required to take any additional action to get the young child supplement.

That said, families must have filed their 2019 and 2020 tax returns to be eligible for the benefit, as the amount available depends on net income in 2019 and 2020.

Eligible caregivers with a net income of $120,000 or less will receive four $300 young child supplement payments for each child under the age of six.
