A new forecast for Canada's weather in August is out now.

It revealed that you should get ready for "a few hints of fall," including cooler temperatures!

The Weather Network just released the August outlook, and it seems like Canada will get both summer and fall weather.

The month will start with a divided pattern in Canada as a brief period of cooler weather settles across the eastern parts of the country.

So, that means cooler temperatures are part of Ontario's weather forecast for the beginning of August.

But warmer-than-normal temperatures will dominate in B.C. and the Prairies.

Also, "a decent amount of rain" will fall in parts of B.C. and Alberta, with sporadic rain in parts of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The cooldown in the east won't last for very long, according to The Weather Network.

Above-seasonal temperatures are expected to "quickly return" to Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada in the second week of August.

Then, in the second half of the month, warmer-than-normal temperatures are forecast for most of B.C. and all of Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.

It won't be warm all the time, though. According to The Weather Network, a few shots of cooler air will interrupt the warmth.

Weather conditions in the Prairies will be "changeable" throughout the middle and end of August.

Since the forecast calls for a back and forth between periods of hot weather and stretches of cooler temperatures, the end of August is expected to be closer to seasonal instead of warmer than normal.

There's a favourable pattern for hurricanes and tropical storms to develop during the middle and end of August.

So, people in Atlantic Canada should prepare for flooding, evacuations, wind damage, and power outages.

The remnants of tropical systems could even track into Ontario and Quebec, potentially bringing flooding, high winds, and tornadoes.

The Weather Network said there will be some "hints of fall" throughout the month.

That's because average temperatures slowly start to decline in August.

Also, there will be occasional shots of cooler air, dew and fog in the morning, and fewer daylight hours.

If you're looking ahead to next season, new fall forecasts from the Old Farmer's Almanac and the Farmers' Almanac revealed that there will be "early snow" and chilly temperatures.

It's set to be "a season of dramatic weather contrasts across the country."
