Cineplex Is Launching An IRL Movie Theatre Subscription Service In Canada

You get monthly movie tickets that never expire, deals on concessions and more!

Senior Writer

Movie lovers, this one is for you! Cineplex now has a new movie subscription service that gets you tickets each month, discounts on concessions and more.

CineClub, the new subscription service, is the first of its kind in Canada and it's available for $9.99 a month plus tax exclusively to new and existing SCENE members.

With CineClub, members get one monthly regular admission ticket that never expires so long as they're active members. Along with that, members can purchase one companion ticket for $9.99 and up to two CineClub-priced tickets for $9.99 per showtime if members want to see other movies at any time during the month.

Membership also comes with 20% off concessions at Cineplex theatres, 20% off food from Outtakes and the VIP lounge, 10% off Cineplex Store purchases and 20% off amusement gaming at The Rec Room and Playdium locations across Canada.

The CineClub subscription automatically renews each month on the signup date unless the subscription is cancelled at least one day before the renewal date. You have to be at least 14 years old, a legal resident of Canada and a SCENE member to get it.

This new initiative is similar to the Unlimited movie pass that was supposed to become available in Canada after the U.K.-based company Cineworld bought out Cineplex. However, the deal fell through in 2020 and the Canadian theatre chain was not sold.
