Costco shoppers in Canada have revealed which products aren't worth spending money on, especially when buying in bulk.

A lot of the items people said to avoid are foods.

So, here's what you need to know if you're looking for products that you shouldn't add to your cart when shopping at Costco!

Narcity recently asked Canadians to share which Costco products aren't worth spending money on and which items they never buy in bulk at the wholesale retailer.

With more than 130 comments, there are a lot of recommendations for what to avoid at Costco.

These are the top products that Canadians said aren't worth spending money on, especially in bulk, at Costco Canada stores:

  • meat
  • bread

While most people just said those items in general, a few Canadians also gave specific meat and bread products that they avoid.

That includes beef, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, bagels, croissants and English muffins.

Someone commented that they don't spend money on bread at Costco, even though the retailer has "incredible choices."

Then, the product people avoid the most after that is the rotisserie chicken.

Shoppers complained that the chicken is undercooked.

"They're the worst rotisserie chickens out there," someone said.

A lot of people commented that toilet paper, fruit (including strawberries and bananas), paper towels, canned tomatoes, eggs, and prepared meals are items not worth buying.

Another person said that prepared meals "have really been touch and go" at Costco recently.

Then, only one person said each of these products isn't worth spending money on, especially in bulk:

  • vegetables
  • coffee
  • bakery items
  • cereal
  • milk
  • rice
  • spices
  • condiments
  • tuna
  • cases of pop
  • pencils
  • pens
  • puppy pads

Someone commented that fresh vegetables and fruits aren't worth buying at the retailer because the items are too oversized.

"Since I'm a single person, you can't go through it fast enough," they said. "It goes bad."

A few people said they won't shop at Costco because they don't think any products are worth spending money on.

Others commented that you can actually find a lot of items for cheaper at grocery stores in Canada.

If you're looking for product recommendations, Narcity also asked Canadians which Costco products are always worth buying, and the top items aren't food.

Some of the products that people always buy at the retailer are the same ones that people avoid!
