Drake Shares Release Date & Trailer For Upcoming Album On His 34th Birthday (VIDEO)

Happy belated birthday to October's Very Own!
Ex-Staffer

In case you missed it, Drake celebrated his 34th birthday over the weekend and he pulled all the stops! The Toronto rapper teased fans with a trailer for his upcoming album, Certified Lover Boy, confirming that it will be released in January 2021.

The trailer shows a boy — presumably a young Drake — looking up at a spotlight before the clip segues into short recreations of his older albums.

Fans were quick to notice that in each shot, Drake had a heart shaved into his hairline, a likely nod at his upcoming album.

At the end of the trailer, there's an overhead view of a stadium with the letters "CLB" written, followed by a black screen that reads "January 2021."

October's Very Own got to celebrate his birthday in more ways than one, however!

He also received a huge birthday shout-out on Twitter from the Toronto Raptors.

"Happy Earthstrong to The Boy, October’s Very Own, our Global Ambassador himself Drizzy," the tweet reads, alongside a champagne bottle emoji.

He topped off the weekend by sharing a photo of himself holding an owl on Instagram with the caption: "As wise as the old owl but still the gold child. Thank you for all your love and well wishes."
