Small Albertan Town Told To 'Shelter In Place' By RCMP

Locals near this small town are told to stay indoors as an Alberta firearms incident is currently unfolding.

Locals north of Drayton Valley should stay inside, said RCMP in a post to social media on Tuesday, July 28, around 10 a.m.

An unfolding incident involving firearms is occurring near Township Road 520 and Highway 22.

In a later update, RCMP said that two individuals were taken into custody and they may give further updates on the situation.

However, there are still two suspects near the Moon Lake Hall area about 28 kilometres north of town.

Drayton Valley itself is over an hour's drive southwest of Edmonton.
