Editor's Choice: Alberta Is Getting A Giant New Costco With Thousands Of Products You've Never Seen Before

What's a Costco Wholesale Business Centre?

The new Costco concept is open to all members and while it may look like the bulk store we all know and love, it's actually super different.

Over 70% of the products in these stores are totally unique and are made to support businesses of all sizes.

There are over 3,200 products for sale that are made for restaurants, stores, and offices. Of course, any Costco member can buy the products, especially if you love saving money by buying in extreme bulk.

“The Costco Business Centre concept is already a success in Ontario and Quebec, and we look forward to offering the same benefits to businesses in Alberta,” said Marc-André Bally, Vice President of Business Centres and Ancillary Businesses, Costco Wholesale Canada in a press release.

Where is it?

The brand new Edmonton Costco is located at 10310 186 St. N.W. and it will be open from Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This location has its own fleet of trucks so it can offer next-business-day delivery "to addresses inside of a delivery zone extending across the Edmonton area."

Memberships cost $60 for a year or $120 for an executive membership. If you're already a member, you're good to go.

What can I buy there?

As we said, things are super-sized here at the new Costco. You can get giant, 16-litre barrels of canola oil, massive 36-kilogram Parmigiano wheels, 10-kilogram jars of peanut butter, and so much more.

If you're into baking, you'll find "large format" flour and sugar of up to 25 kilograms as well as commercial mixers and food processors.

If you own a business or you just love buying giant things to save money and save yourself a trip to the store, you're going to love this place.
