Elliot Page Speaks Out To Thank Fans For Their Love After Coming Out As Trans

"Your love and support has been the greatest gift." 💕
Managing Editor, Canada

After coming out as trans earlier this month, Elliot Page has thanked his fans for all of their love and support.

Sharing a new Instagram photo on December 20, the Juno and The Umbrella Academy actor acknowledged the response they’ve received since coming out, describing it as “the greatest gift.”

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your love and support has been the greatest gift,” wrote the 33-year-old.

“Stay safe. Be there for each other,” he added.

As part of their message, Page encouraged those who are able to consider donating to two organizations that support transgender people, Trans Lifeline and TranSanta.

This comes just weeks after the actor confirmed they would be using the pronouns “he” and “they.”

In an open letter shared on December 1, he wrote, “I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive.”

Page’s Canadian wife, Emma Portner, shared a heartwarming message shortly after, writing, “Elliot’s existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E. Love you so much."
