The movie theatre chain said it has been affected by the pandemic because of restrictions on what can be open, gathering limits and film releases being pushed back. Also, some flicks skipped theatrical releases completely and went straight to streaming. Even though there is no known end date for the pandemic, the company said it's optimistic there will be a recovery and people will come back to movie theatres. Cineplex recently revamped the Scene card and started offering private screenings at the end of 2020 that you can still book now, depending on restrictions in your area.
