Canada Has Now Ordered Over 350 Million Vaccine Doses But Will Be Sharing Some Of Them
A COVID-19 vaccine in Canada is starting to look more realistic, and the country is preparing by ordering a huge amount of doses from them and other manufacturers.
According to data compiled by researchers at the Duke Global Health Innovation Centre, Canada has already placed orders for 358 million COVID-19 vaccine doses from seven different sources.
This includes 20 million from Pfizer, which said that its vaccine was 90% effective in its most recent trials.

Vaccine doses ordered
While the government is making sure that Canadians are looked after, they are also committed to helping others across the globe.
A September 25 news release from the Prime Minister's office said that Canada would be channelling $220 million through COVAX, a global project made to ensure the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines to low and middle-income countries.
"By joining this initiative, Canada is helping to develop and deploy safe, effective, and accessible COVID-19 vaccines," the release states.
The promise of a vaccine brings a sense of optimism, but Justin Trudeau has reminded Canadians that there is still a ways to go before one is available.
