That’s a lot of love! Jagmeet Singh has been singing the praises of millennials after some of Canada’s wealthiest young people reportedly said they want to pay more taxes.

In a tweet on Tuesday, November 24, the NDP leader shared a CBC News article claiming hundreds of the country’s richest millennials want the federal government to tax them more.

Adding his own take, Singh wrote, “These millennials want to build a [Canada] where the super-rich pay their fair share.”

“Where we lift each other up, not pull each other down,” he continued.

That wasn’t the end of Singh’s praise for young Canadians, though.

In a follow-up post, the NDP Leader went on to say that millennials in Canada just “get it.”

According to Singh, young people have seen Liberal and Conservative parties “rigging to the system to favour the ultra-rich,” and have also experienced “crushing” levels of student debt and “empty words” when it comes to racial injustice.

Despite these challenges, he said millennials “move with courageous optimism & I'm here for it.”

He’s not the only politician to gush over this demographic, either. Earlier this year, Justin Trudeau spent ten whole minutes giving compliments to Canada’s young people.

Aww! Keep those compliments coming, eh?
