The news broke today that Justin Trudeau's COVID-19 update is once again happening at Rideau Cottage, as it did during the early days of the pandemic.

The prime minister's itinerary for the day indicated that he would be making his daily address from the residence today.

It already seems like people are having a hard time processing the news.

The bad vibes started once it was announced that this was where the daily update would be taking place.

With it being so close to the holiday season, some were assuming this meant the very worst.

This news was chilling to some, and it's not just because of the cold winter weather finally creeping in.

One of the interpretations of the decision had to do with the rising case numbers, citing that it may be time for people to start staying home again.

The PM acknowledged these feelings right away, making it clear that he wanted to set an example.
