Will this be a one-off? Justin Trudeau's COVID-19 update is going to be given from outside of Rideau Cottage in Ottawa, where he lives.

According to Trudeau's itinerary, he will "address Canadians" about what's going on with the pandemic in this country at 11:30 a.m. EST on November 20.

Instead of joining Dr. Theresa Tam and Dr. Howard Njoo along with other federal ministers for briefings at the Sir John A. Macdonald Building across the street from Parliament Hill, he'll be doing this one from home.

A day before this change in venue, Trudeau met with Dr. Tam, Dr. Njoo and opposition leaders for a briefing about COVID-19.

At the beginning of the pandemic, the prime minister would hold daily press conferences outside of his home to inform Canadians about the situation.

He did those less often as infection rates went down, but when daily case counts started to rise he did more addresses, though this time with others at the Sir John A. Macdonald Building.

As of November 19, Canada has 315,751 cases of COVID-19 and some provinces are cracking down.

B.C. recently made masks mandatory inside public places and Ontario Premier Doug Ford is sending officers to hot spots to make sure businesses are following the rules.

Even America's Dr. Anthony Fauci said that Canada is "getting into trouble" with COVID-19 now.
