For the second time this year, both Toronto and Peel are in lockdown

Both regions were placed in the grey (lockdown) zone on Friday, November 20 by Premier Ford.

This means that you now have fewer legitimate excuses to leave the house — and most are flat out disallowed.

Here's what the provincial government has deemed "essential" reasons to go out.

So, unless you're exercising, grabbing groceries, attending an appointment, or going to work and school, you should be staying home.

The framework goes on to say that households should not gather and socialize with anyone outside of their immediate household.

Workplaces are encouraged to allow their employees to work remotely wherever possible, as well.

However, individuals who live alone are permitted to have exclusive, close contact with another household.

"With the numbers rising rapidly in certain regions, we have to make the tough, but necessary decisions now," Premier Ford said on Friday.

The lockdown measures will stay in place for a minimum of 28 days.
