Say goodbye to $2,000 one-bedrooms. 👋
Contributing Writer

Unless you're making $100,000 a year, Toronto rent prices aren't the most affordable.

If you're tired of being broke in the 6ix, PadMapper just released a list of some of the cheapest big cities in Ontario to rent in.

So pack up your bags, and move away from the big prices of Toronto.

Editor's Choice: Here's Where You Can & Can't Visit In Canada Right Now If You Live In Ontario

PadMapper

According to PadMapper, the cheapest populous cities to rent in Canada are unsurprisingly far from southern Ontario.*

Winnipeg, Quebec, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, and St. John are down at the bottom of the list, the least expensive of the most populous cities.*

However, you don't need to move out of the province in order to score some more affordable deals.

Windsor is one of the cheapest places to be in Ontario, of the ones listed in the new report. You can get a one-bedroom for around $950 a month.

London, Kingston and Hamilton also aren't far behind, all of them in the $1,200 range.

With Toronto currently sitting at $2,000 for a one-bedroom, moving to these cities will definitely save you a few bucks.
