There's a Kim's Convenience spin-off in the works right now and it will follow one character to Hamilton, Ontario.

CBC announced that the new show is about the character Shannon Ross, the manager of Handy Car Rental, and her heading to the city for a new career.

The new show is called Strays, and Nicole Power will reprise her role as Shannon.

In March it was announced that Season 5 of Kim's Convenience would be the last, and there were calls on Twitter to save the series after it got a shoutout on Saturday Night Live.

CBC said that Strays was supposed to join its comedy lineup alongside the beloved Toronto-based show before it was cancelled.
