Hamilton Police are searching for two Toronto suspects wanted for the first-degree murder of British Columbia resident Tyler Pratt.

Police announced on Thursday that a warrant had been issued for 28-year-old Oliver Karafa and 25-year-old Yun (Lucy) Lu Li, the two suspects involved in Pratt's murder.

Hamilton Police responded to initial reports on February 28 in the area of 347 Arvin Ave., Stoney Creek just after 7:15 p.m., where Pratt was later found deceased.

A 26-year-old female was also found suffering from serious injuries and transported to the hospital, where she remains in serious condition.

"Both suspects reside in Toronto and police believe they have left the area," police said.

"Hamilton Police have recovered the vehicles believed to have been involved in the incident and are seeking to locate Karafa and Li," reads the statement.

Anyone in the community who was travelling on Arvin Avenue or Barton Street East between Fruitland Road and Green Road between 7:00 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. was asked to contact police with any information, dashcam footage, or security video recording.

Additionally, police are instructing the public not to approach the pair if spotted, and instead notify authorities by phone.

This comes not long after a separate homicide in the Niagara Region in January. The victims were identified as 20-year-old Juliana Pannunzio and 18-year-old Christina Crooks.
