Kate Middleton has revealed that she "can't wait" to meet her new niece — Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor — but confirmed that she hasn't video-called Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just yet.

Speaking during a panel discussion with First Lady Jill Biden on June 11, Kate was asked about the Sussexes' newest addition.

"I wish her all the very best," she said. "I can't wait to meet her. We haven't met her yet. I hope that will be soon."

Kate was also asked if she'd met Lilibet Diana via FaceTime or video call, to which she responded "No, I haven't."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the birth of their daughter on Sunday, June 6.

The new baby's name pays a special tribute to both the queen and Princess Diana, and even features a subtle nod to Meghan's mom, too!

Several members of the Royal Family posted their reactions to the happy news online, with representatives from Buckingham Palace describing the queen as "delighted."
