Over the weekend, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry confirmed the arrival of their second child — Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

While the royal couple has confirmed their daughter's name pays tribute to Harry's mom Princess Diana and his grandmother the queen, it may also be a subtle nod to Meghan's mom, Doria.

Following the announcement of the child's name, fans of the couple took to social media to draw attention to the possible connection between the nickname "Lili" and Doria Ragland.

According to Meghan's now-defunct lifestyle blog, per Marie Claire, Doria gave her the nickname "flower" as a child.

"I love how Lilibet "Lili" Diana honors several different generations of women," one fan tweeted. "Lilibet was the Queen's nickname as a child. Lili, which she will be called, is a flower. Doria's nickname for Meghan is Flower."

Members of the Royal Family took to social media to respond to the news on Sunday, with Buckingham Palace describing the queen as feeling "delighted."
