Move over, Gardner family! It may be sometime before we get to see the fourth and final season of Atypical, but in the meantime, the streamer has another original project in store. Later this month, a docu-series called Love on the Spectrum will be coming to Netflix.

The four-episode long project will follow seven singles on the autism spectrum as they take the steps to begin navigating the often-confusing world of dating and relationships.

Those on the autism spectrum desire human connection, intimacy, and companionship in the same way that people with neurotypical brains do.

Due to their diagnosis, however, it can be hard for autistic individuals to pick up on social cues or communicate their feelings.

In the recently released trailer, viewers are introduced to seven people on the spectrum as they boldly embark on the journey to find love.

With the help of their families and experts, the show's stars will gain the confidence they need to go on dates with ease and hopefully find the connections that they've been craving.

Love on the Spectrum also provides hope for viewers by introducing us to two autistic couples that have found love.

Ruth and Thomas have been engaged for a year and a half, and Jimmy and Sharnae have been seeing one another for three years.

"This uplifting and insightful series celebrates diversity and difference, with participants who are warm, funny and generously open," Northern Pictures says.

"It sets out to teach us all lessons of love, romance, intimacy and acceptance."

If you're a fan of the Netflix original show Atypical, this new docu-series is right up your alley. The show follows Sam, who is on the autism spectrum, as he navigates high school, family feuds, and love.

The first three seasons are currently available for streaming on Netflix, with a fourth and final slated for a 2021 premiere.

Love on the Spectrum is coming to the streamer on July 22. You can watch the heartwarming trailer below.
