A Florida Couple With COVID-19 Were Jailed For Allegedly Not Going Into Quarantine

A Florida Keys couple failed to quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, and now they're in jail.

Jose Antonio Freire Interian and Yohana Anahi Gonzalez were arrested and booked into the Stock Island Detention Center after their apartment manager caught them not self-isolating.

There were complaints from the neighborhood of them continuing to be outside, going about normal life functions.

The two tested positive for the disease earlier this month and would go on to post about it on Facebook, advising people to get checked.

However, their apartment manager videotaped the couple breaking their quarantine and turned the footage over to the cops. 

They face charges of violating emergency management and isolation quarantine in public health emergency orders, which are both misdemeanors.
