On September 19, Athabasca RCMP received multiple 911 calls in Alberta from a man who wanted a shoot out with the cops. 

The calls coming in from the 51-year-old male in Calling Lake began at 11:15 p.m. where he requested police come to his residence.

No one else was injured during this incident.


Alberta RCMP

Once officials got there, the male left his home to interact with the police several times before an RCMP remember discharged their firearm at around 1:32 a.m.

EMS was called and tried to save the unnamed man however, he died on the scene. 

A team is now investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
