An experienced hiker went missing on a B.C. trail on Sunday, August 23 and now, RCMP has found footage that has been instrumental in the ongoing search and rescue.

The video was taken on the day 52-year-old Ali Naderi entered the trails near Eagle Mountain in Coquitlam, says RCMP.

Please leave the physical searching to us.

Corporal Michael McLaughlin

Police don't suspect any foul play and instead have suggested that he entered the backcountry without sharing where he was going.

The man is described as being Persian with black, salt and pepper hair. He has brown eyes, weighs about 176 pounds, and is five foot 10.

His car was found near a series of hiking trails in the 2500 block of Diamond Crescent and RCMP are asking the public to contact them at (604)945-1550, with any information.
