Toronto Police Service (TPS) is warning TTC riders to be aware after a series of bus stop robberies have been reported.

Four assaults took place between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on September 24 and September 26.

All incidents happened in the area that borders Warden Avenue to Neilson and Sheppard Avenue to Finch Avenue.

According to TPS, these transit riders were targeted after getting off a TTC vehicle or while waiting at a bus stop.

A group of men would allegedly approach the victim and either assault them or pull out a knife.

Some victims said they couldn't see the group of males approaching them.

TPS is now advising residents to be on high alert during early morning rides on public transit.

Commuters are being asked to be aware of their surroundings and travel with a friend, if possible.

Anyone with further information on the case should contact police at 416-808-4200.
