You can step back in time at this gorgeous Ontario spot, which was once home to a family of pioneers.

The O'Hara Mill Homestead and Conservation Area is located in Madoc, and it's full of historic buildings dating back to the 1800s.

You can discover a carpenter shop, log cabin, schoolhouse, sugar shack, dreamy covered bridge and more as you explore the area.

There are seven trails in total, and they will take you through old growth forests and marshes.

Tours are often offered during the summer months, so you can get a deeper glimpse into the history of the site.
