On December 15, Justin Trudeau's Ottawa Hospital visit to check out the administration of COVID-19 vaccines brought him back to where he was born.

He visited the hospital where the first people in the city got vaccinated with the federal Minister of Health Patty Hajdu and they talked to health care workers.

This is a great hospital. This is where I was born. Justin Trudeau

While there, the PM said that the hospital is great and told the people he was speaking with that it's actually where he was born.

"It's like coming home for you," Hajdu said.

Trudeau laughed at that and said, "It's a good day to be back."

Doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine arrived at the hospital the night before and the first dose was given to a personal support worker early on December 15.

At a press conference later that morning, the prime minister spoke about his visit and said he thanked the nurses, doctors and staff there for the "outstanding work" they've done throughout the pandemic.

He also announced that Canada is set to get an early shipment of the Moderna vaccine if it gets approved.
