Police have identified the victim in an investigation that involves 35-year-old Dr. Brian Nadler, an Ontario doctor who's been charged with first-degree murder.

Albert Poidinger, 89, was pronounced deceased at the Hawkesbury & District General Hospital (HGH) in Hawkesbury, Ontario, one of several "suspicious deaths" there.

Nadler was arrested by OPP and has been charged with first-degree murder — he's since been revoked of all HGH privileges, the hospital has confirmed

According to the OPP, police are conducting an investigation into several suspicious deaths at the hospital that happened recently.

In a statement to Narcity, Nadler's representative Alan Brass said that "Mr. Nadler maintains his innocence," and that Brass "will be defending him vigorously against these charges."
