Ottawa's National Arts Centre is set to welcome a revolutionary musical experience this Spring. From May 21 to 26, the critically acclaimed SIX will be making its Ottawa premiere, promising an evening that’s both entertaining and thought-provoking. Written by the talented Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, it offers a unique blend of history and contemporary pop culture.

The show reimagines the six wives of Henry VIII as pop divas, giving them a platform to share their stories in a way that resonates with today’s generation. SIX focuses on the voices and experiences of these six women, and has been praised for its lively score, which fuses pop, rock, and electronic dance music, creating an atmosphere that's both vibrant and engaging. It’s a modern take on historical heartbreak, celebrating resilience and empowerment through catchy tunes and witty lyrics. Lucy Moss, who co-directed the musical, made headlines as the youngest female director on Broadway at just 26 years old, bringing a fresh and dynamic perspective to the production.
