These high-paying jobs offer salaries from $57,000 to $99,000 a year and $28 to $42 an hour.

Parks Canada is the federal agency that manages national parks, marine conservation areas and historic sites.

So, you might think that all Parks Canada jobs are just outdoor positions like visitor services attendants, lifeguards, heritage presenters and more.

But there are actually quite a few positions available in IT, admin, finance and the skilled trades right now.

You can get some of these jobs without a university degree because the education requirement is only a high school diploma!

So, if you're looking for work, here are a bunch of Parks Canada jobs that are being hired for across the country.

Administrative Assistant

Salary: $57,397 to $61,953 a year

Company: Parks Canada

Location: Annapolis Royal, NS

Who Should Apply: You must have successfully completed high school or have an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Also, you need experience providing administrative and program support in an office environment.

That includes reception services, responding to information requests, invoicing, maintaining records in a filing system, procuring office supplies, processing mail, making travel arrangements and more duties.

It's required that you possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license or equivalent.

This is a bilingual job, which means you must be able to communicate in both English and French.

Who Should Apply: You must have graduated from a two-year program at a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another relevant field.

But you can also get hired with an acceptable combination of education, training or experience in a field that's related to these IT positions.

It's required that you have experience in:

  • installing, configuring, troubleshooting, or providing detailed support for software and/or hardware
  • providing technical assistance, training and advice to clients

Also, you need to have knowledge of:

  • computer troubleshooting principles and concepts
  • managing Microsoft services, including Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and the Microsoft 365 suite
  • ITIL basic principles and best practices

You must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
