The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a statement about growing numbers of a specific infection across 23 states. 

The Salmonella outbreak in Arizona has affected 13 people so far, with a total of 212 reported cases in the country.

Officials say that the source has not been identified. 

Most people who are infected may develop symptoms, including fever and stomach cramps, six hours to six days after being exposed.

The CDC is encouraging people to speak with their doctor if they are having symptoms.
