A Canadian airline has the 'best economy class' in the world, according to a new ranking

On this airline, flying economy won't leave you longing for first class. The Canadian airline was recently recognized for its top-ranking economy class which offers a range of comfort-focused features.

Porter Airlines was selected as the world's "best economy class" by the USA Today Readers' Choice Awards 2024.

According to the ranking, the awards highlight airlines that "make the economy class experience more comfortable with perks like bigger seats, more legroom, and ample entertainment options."

Porter came in at number one out of 10 international airlines featured.

The Toronto-based flight operator has hubs at both Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport and services over 35 destinations across Canada and the U.S.

"Porter has redefined air travel since 2006 and we are continuing to elevate the economy experience for everyone across North America as we grow our network," Kevin Jackson, president, Porter Airlines said in a press release.

"This award speaks to the commitment from our team members to provide the highest level of service and genuine hospitality."

With no middle seat on any flight, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, free snacks, a variety of fresh meal options and free streaming WiFi on select aircrafts, Porter's economy class offers a comfortable travel experience.

Other airlines featured in the Readers' Choice Awards include Southwest Airlines, Air New Zealand and Cathay Pacific.

You can avoid the dreaded middle seat and experience the world's "best" economy class on this Toronto-based airline.
