Netflix's Newest Film Is Similar To 'The Matrix' & Stars So Many Familiar Faces

The action awaits! Recently, a trailer was released for Project Power on Netflix. Not only is the film full of dangerous thrills, but it also stars some very talented actors who you'll definitely recognize.
The upcoming movie takes place in a world where a special pill has been created, bestowing superhuman powers on whoever takes it for just five minutes.

Prior to taking the pill, people have no idea what sorts of powers they have. There's potential to become incredibly strong, or even invisible for just a short period of time.
What makes the drug even riskier is that it has the possibility to kill whoever consumes it.
Project Power stars Jamie Foxx as a former solider whose daughter has been kidnapped by the minds behind the pill. In order to save her, he must team up with a local cop (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and a teenage drug dealer (Dominique Fishback).
In order to take down their enemies, the trio must take the drug themselves as they attempt to track down the source in the streets of New Orleans.
"What would you risk for five minutes of pure power?" the trailer's caption asks.
If you're wondering what you can compare Netflix's latest project to, think of The Matrix. Both movies have a unique pill component that leads to plenty of mind-bending adventures.
The brief video clip is already receiving plenty of excited reactions from viewers.
"They had me at Jamie Fox then they through in Joseph Gordon-Levitt and then super powers. It's like I wrote the movie myself," one comment reads.
"This actually looks really good, fantastic cast as well," another viewer said.
Project Power also stars Machine Gun Kelly (The Dirt), Rodrigo Santoro (300), Amy Landecker (A Serious Man), Courtney B. Vance (Uncorked), and Tait Fletcher (The Accountant).
Project Power is coming to Netflix on July 14. You can check out the action-packed trailer below.
