If you've been craving a little outdoor action, this spot is sure to feed your inner explorer.

Adams Canyon in Davis Country, Utah, is a magical destination filled with fun trails and a sparkling waterfall.

Adams Canyon Trail is 3.5 miles one way, and according to the official website, it usually takes between three and four hours to complete.

It is free to explore, and there are a few connecting hikes that you can wander once you've completed it.

When you cross from the beginning of the path into the canyon itself, a shady grove protects you from the bright sunlight.

You can hike along Holms Creek and cross over the stream along the way while following the path.

Once you reach the 40-foot falls, you can wade through the pool that sits at the base or even submerge yourself under the cascade for a genuinely refreshing pick-me-up.

To reach the trailhead, you can take I-15 North from Salt Lake City to Highway 89 toward Layton. When you reach East 1200 North road, you will turn right.

Take another right onto Eastside Road and drive until you reach the unpaved parking lot.

From there, the trailhead can be easily accessed and will take you along Bonneville Shoreline Trail before splitting in two directions.

Remain on the righthand path to begin the hike to the waterfall. Some of the terrains are uncovered and sandy, but once you reach the woods, it is cooler due to the shade.

Some portions can be a little more challenging, but according to Summit Post, there are several tracks to follow that suit different skillsets.

This dreamy trail will take you to a fairyland, only a short road trip from Salt Lake City, and will fill your afternoon with adventure.
